Core and Pelvic Floor for Pregnancy and Birth This class covers the topics of exercise in pregnancy, diastasis recti, how to prepare the pelvic floor for birth, pushing strategies, postpartum recovery, C-section scar massage and postpartum return to exercise. Research is showing that the pelvic floor muscles can play an important role in the mechanics of the pushing stage of birth. We will learn how to connect to these muscles in pregnancy and prepare for birth. We will also discuss the many myths and truths about diastasis recti and abdominal exercise in pregnancy and postpartum. This class is all about you, your body and your recovery!
